Oscar.

Claire is an ordinary girl who dreams of extraordinary things. The love of her life, Oscar, is a pot plant. Her world is one of games and poetry: The Waiter brings her food; The Musician plays to suit her mood.

A comic tale of two soul mates trying to reach their impossible dreams, OSCAR explores what it is to live and love and lose. A hopeless story of romance and photosynthesis.

a word from the writer

It has been a privilege to have my script worked on by this talented group, to se the scenes give way to ideas that I had never imagined, but absolutely loved.

On one day, two pages of overly symbolic dialogue disappeared in favour of trench warfare, a vast improvement. I went home each day and giggled as I wrote in all of the cheesy jokes they invented (Oscar's leaving, he's gone to find his roots, play us some Photo-synth).

Thanks to everyone for giving the script the love and disrespect it needed to come alive, it really does belong to all of us now.

Gita.
